I think throughout the season just about every position in the playing team and the management team has been singled out for criticism and there have been calls for a replacement to be found.

Because we need central defenders. Been like that all season, but our manager seems unwilling or incapable of finding the players we need.
Until this is tackled we will continue to struggle.
Make any excuses you like about refs, time added, whatever, bottom dollar is our obvious failing isn't being fixed.

What's costing us and has done for the last 3 years is sitting back when we get a lead, I don't know whether it is the management who tell them to do that or if the players think they are better than they actually are, It seems evident to us mere mortals who go every week that they can't and have not been able to no matter what the team is.
Simply stated..."because we can't defend"
Its as simple as that!! we need defenders with pace or that can read the game.
Someone who will put his head where it hurts. a Swailes type of defender imo.
The last thing we did in league 1 and league 2,was to sit back,it was all out attack,in this division we have had to be more cautious and it as cost us,that's because we've not had the central defender's to cope with some of the quality player's we have been up against in this league.

Right, to begin with I didn't think that Rotherham deserved to lose the game. A draw would have been a fair result, in my opinion. Prior to the game I did not expect an Owls victory, and I thought the best we could hope for was a draw. I certainly never expected us to score three goals. So what have we learned? Firstly Rotherham. Play to your strengths. Rotherham should adhere to the mantra that attack is the best form of defence. To sit back and defend you have to have the players to do it, and I think that Rotherham are better playing an offensive game. I still think that Rotherham will survive, barring Wigan suddenly having a big upturn in form. Secondly Wednesday. A manager and team under pressure now the takeover has happened. But for that, Rotherham would have won today. I'm 100% sure of that. Wednesday are a much better team with Loovens, Palmer and Semedo in it, but without them they are poor. The difference between the Owls and Rotherham is that the Owls are a streetwise poor
That is a fair assessment Les.
