    A long week

Did you ever get the feeling that the axe was about to fall? Has anyone got a good feeling about Friday night?

Ah'm feart. You start to dwell on the Thistle offside goals, the three shots against the woodwork at Accies and the non-penalties and the Pearson chance against Ross. It's not actually bad luck; sometimes things just don't go your way. We threw the lot at Ross; time and again a ball which could have landed at a 'Well foot in the six - yard box just didnae. I saw two penalty shouts; one was in the 'I've seen them given (nearly always)' category, the other at the 'stonewaller' end of the spectrum. The ref saw it differently. Not luck; just life, I'm afraid.
Logic has gone out of the window, replaced with hope / desperation.
If I was calmer, I might be reflecting that we've only lost to Celtic and Aberdeen at home in the league since the embarrassment at Accies on New Years' Day. On that basis, we have a chance on Friday, though it could turn out to be a hollow victory by the end of the season.
    C'mon the 'Well

we will beat Killie with a few goals but I don't think it will be enough to save us from the play-off, hope I am wrong as they are currently even worse than we are and may yet be dragged in with us.
if a team ever needs a result just play Motherwell!

It may not even end there. Its possible that Pearo and MacDonald could pick up bans for the play offs - partly because of yellow cards wrongly given for "dives" never mind the penalties were not given.

I just want this season to be over if I am honest. Championship so be it, Ill still go and support what ever sort of team we have, that may include the likes of McManus and Pearson, which I don't believe are good enough. The rest will be cleared out.Which is the only joy I have in my heart
I cant remember a season with so many big build ups and excitement only to be dropped flat on our faces.
Yes we have had horrendous injuries, yes we have had bad luck, however some of the performances have been shocking, especially away, Dundee, County, Accies (x2) will always be my reflection of this season. We dont always see eye to eye, but I am sure the one thing we will agree on is that too many have let us down this season. And I will be glad to see the back of so many of these players, not that they will be giving a toss as they move on to their next club. Guys like McManus, Vigurs, Lawson were brought in with expectations that they would add experience and quality to the squad, some othe

You sound like my pessimistic Killie supporting son. I have assured him that there is little chance of our under achieving bunch thumping Killie and absolutely no chance of them being dragged into it.
I sincerely hope I'm the one who is wrong but the Championship has loomed for us since prior to kick off v St Mirren on 9th August after the most shambolic pre season preparation imaginable.

The way this season has gone the sooner it is over the better no matter where we end up.But knowing us we will win our last three games in the league and Killie and Ross County will play a boring draw in their last game to send us to the playoffs and as usual we will say"IF ONLY"

Time for all to realise we're going down and there's no early return to the top league.
The team's been unable to lift itself for 9 months, so any feint hopes they'll do anything in the last 3 games is simply fantasy thinking.
As for the play-offs; does anyone really think we've got the bottle / character to see us win a 2 legger against Hibs or Sevco!?
    We're fekkt I'm afraid ...
