    Today's rout

Apart from poor defending by us; you lot were magnificent today. At the beginning of the season Koeman wanted Ron Vlaar. I would have paid his fare and the offer still stands.

Defending like that explains why Villa have been relegation fodder all season - but we were good

Thats the 3rd time i've seen Vlaar play and the second time he's looked like a pub footballer.
Having said that Mane and Long were sensational today
Didn't see that result coming at all

TBF I don't think anyone anticipated that sort of score line today. But I certainly enjoyed it. We were very good but Villa were woeful. I think we dodged a bullet with Mr Vlaar. He makes me look quick!
Bit of a rush getting there today with work commitments and a tight schedule.
I hate 12.45 ko's but that is tv money for you. Once clubs accept the riches you dance to their tune.
Missed all the usual suspects for drinks before and after.

Defence has been an issue. Last season Paul Lambert brought in Ryan Bertrand on loan in January and for 2 or 3 games it looked like the LB situation was solved. I don't know what he did to the lad but he looked poor the rest of the season, then Koeman got him and he looks brilliant.

Also we have had a revolving door of defenders all season. Vlaar in and out, Okore came back off his huge injury and is still learning the league. Clark, Baker and Senderos all injured. Hutton played his first full match for a month after injury at the unfamiliar LB position because our two LBs are out injured.

No excuse though, still should not have been that poor and to not adjust after the unjust disallowed goal is a crime in itself. BTW if that goal is allowed Mane probably doesn't get his record breaking hat trick.

As soon as I saw Long in

Had an invitation and tickets but couldn't go in the end as I had to go to hospital on Friday and need the weekend to recover. Seeing it on the box cheered me up though.

What a game to be at

Couldn't make it to the pre-match drinking hole, partly due to the early kick off.

Had a great seat Block 07 Row M Seat 0184

Normally I bring bad luck to the Saints when I watch them live, but that wasnt the case this time around

Not having much opportunity to see Saints live, all I wanted was to see them score, and of course to be winning at the same time, what happened in that 3 min spell was brilliant.

    Loved Long's goal !

I queued up for a Hot Dog for 10 mins at H/T only to be told that they had run out when I finally got to the front

I then went to see my family in the Chapel at half time and somehow managed to get lost on the way back, which wasn't bad, as somehow I ended up in the VIP lounge at the back of the Itchen and managed to get a drink !

Finally found my seat, 10 mins into the 2nd half.

Nice weather, great result...a day to remember.
