dont pretend to know the ins and outs of it but it will make it a cuunt of a day for many motherwell fans who just want to watch their team. The zealots in the crowd who will spend their entire day trying to identify rangers fans in the home crowd then jumping up n down like some crazed knob ends shouting at stewards and the police to evict them instead of being interested in the game. Ultimately spoiling the game for the poor bstards unlucky enough to be anywhere near the mayhem.

If motherwell fans buy enough tickets it shouldn't matter it's last game of season priced properly and a massive game so if we don't have enough fans of our own nobody to blame bar ourselves

I'm a 72yo non-zealot, but I do remember the 4-4 Celtic game a few years ago. Sitting in my (season-ticket) seat near the front of the main stand, I was surprised to find a row of chaps wearing green and white hooped shirts sitting in front of me. I did feel that the attire should have suggested to the stewards that something had gone amiss with the ticketing, but they didn't seem to notice. At 3-1 for Celtic all we had to bear was patronising sneering - 'Too f*****' easy'. Then the 'Well got the engines running, started scoring and, of course, the mood changed. Trouble was brewing. Two or three of us, who really couldn't see why we should put up with it, asked for the Celtic fans to be moved - not ejected, just moved. So while I take the point about people who are just looking for something to girn about, I hope that the stewarding is tight. 'Intensely partisan' is fine; poison and bile in the atmosphere isn't, especially if fans are in seats they shouldn't be in.
