    Ainsworth commits for two years

Good to have him back. He's scored a few belters - none better than the strike at Tannadice though the pair against Rangers are worthy of a mention! - view external link

A good bit of business by the club. He's frustrating at times but a good player.

Perhaps all you Lionel beaters out there will now appreciate the significant contribution he has made to our club in the last 2 seasons!

At the stage of development were at and with the resources we've got, this is a good move. Of course he's inconsistent; then again he shares that characteristic with nearly every other player in our league! His goals and assists make him, on clear balance, an asset, and I'm really pleased to see him in our squad.

Glad to see him stay for another two years. He is an asset to our squad as he can score and set up some important goals. As like most players who play that position he can frustrate at times, but I can put up with that.

Cant say Ive come across Lionel beaters as you put it.. if he plays as he did up until Christmas he'll be a waste of a wage. If he plays as he has done since Christmas he will be a real asset.

Good news - when he can be arsed and is in form, he's just about unplayable at this level.

Sadly there's no guarantee this isn't the last we'll see of him until March 2017...

Soccerbase has him on 22 goals in two seasons and Gavin McCafferty on Twitter suggests around 20 assists (a number I think is conservative) so quite frankly, attitude issues or not, there's simply no way we can turn down that kind of return if we're able to keep him.

Ainsworth commits for two years … I’d like see him commit for at least a minimum of 20 minutes per game !
Frustrating does not come close to what I think but him being AWOL, which is frequent, can not be ignored.
You only remember those occasion, lasting minutes, when decides to turn up.
I expect no difference for the next TWO seasons :/

He does have big gaps in his game , main one for me is his complete failure to track back. However can we afford to jettison someone who chips in with very important goals and assists .. no we can't and certainly on the money we pay we'd be unlikely to find someone who does score and assist as he does. asd
