He.s had a solicitors letter telling him hes no longer welcome at the club.

Should of listened to us and given Nixon a ****ing good kicking while he had him on his knees.

Just goes to prove you cant believe a word that the **** says hell i almost feel sorry for Lapping.

I'm surprised Piglet that you can't see that this is Jenkins and Nixon clinging onto power at all costs. The Lapping deal will collapse not because there was no substance to it but because the old cronies don't want to give up their blue yonder cash cow. These new potential investors will get nowhere either. More of the same I'm afraid,

So it's back to square one then, Statements that tell you nothing about the new offer, if there is one; the old firm still in charge; new appointments postponed or cancelled, babies thrown out with bathwater. Will anyone ever trust these lot again? If this comes to nowt and Lapping walks away I can see further budget cuts and another struggle against relegation next time out.

All they have asked him to do is wait 2 weeks, can't see why it is such a big deal. If all this is rubbish then it'll all be back on again

Well clearly what i.d been told was correct just one of the details was wrong.

Lets just hope Lapping grows a pair of Balls and runs these two out of town once and for all.

Deal could be pretty simple really just borrow whats needed to "persuade" Jenkins to go and then sell the 45% to the fans to recoup it.

I dont think AJ is the one up for a fight and will soon change his mind when 300 people cancel their season ticket orders and another 6000 pledge not to go back till hes gone and at the same time ensure their families dont spend another penny with his company or any company that signs up as a sponsor of the club.

As i.ve said all along play the cards right and Nixon wont even get a say in the outcome and whatever he says about loving the club all Jenkins and his boys in particular want is their cash back.

Ok, firstly - am I happy with Jenkins and his cronies running the shop? Obviously no, they're in it for themselves not for the good of the club.

Secondly, am I happy that Lapping's scheme has failed? Absolutely, yes. Any change is not necessarily good change. The governance structure Lapping was planning to introduce was a complete dog's breakfast and would have both entrenched Jenkins and Nixon's shareholding and made the club virtually unsellable. The ground development slush fund he was bringing in to facilitate Blue Yonder while investing nothing in the football said it all. For the medium term impact of Lapping on a football club - see the disastrous mess at Motherwell.

Furthermore he was investing an absolute pittance (relative to the club's value) and rewarding himself handsomely with equity. I couldn't see one ounce of benefit his scheme would bring to the club.

Of course, the alternative that Jenkins and his cronies favour may indeed be worse - but I'm struggling to conceiv

We will have to see what this Maltese offer brings to the table.

Can't see it being better than what AL currently has on offer, at least it is reasonably transparent.

A faceless consortium could spell the end of Carlisle United.

I think that it is now clear that it is not Lapping but Nixon that is hell bent on the new stadium, possibly locked into a contract with a developer.

Lapping has issued a statement via the other fans forum for those who don't frequent it regularly. I've provided a link below. It's interesting that the candidate who was to be the new MD was interviewing the 2 remaining candidates for Commercial Director with a view to announcing both appointments within days. Basically Lapping's deal was all set to go. - view external link
