Despite the Millers healthy transfer dealings and some seemingly tasty signings they remain favorites with the bookies to take the plunge.
Have they got it right?

We are just the easy option. I am ten times more confident going into this season than I was last season. Big Steve has made some shrewd signings compared to some pretty poor ones this time last year.
I'm going for MK Dons, Huddersfield & Preston for the drop in no particular order. I also think the pigs & Leeds will struggle.
Millers to finish a comfortable 16th.

the majority of millers fans always expect us to survive no matter what the odds but lets be honest if we werent millers fans & we looked at our chances through neutral eyes most would expect us to get relegated.
i think the bookies are right to have us as favourites as i worry where our goals will come from at one end & we have totally rebuilt a defence from scratch at the other which may take time to gel. however i hope we can prove them wrong
Bolton worst side I saw last season who stopped up, don't think they've signed anyone to improve them. So Bolton, Huddersfield, Charlton, Birmingham, MK Dons & Preston to finish below us. We could finish above the likes of Leeds, Sheff W & Brighton. Reading will Fulham should do better. Ipswich won't do as well, from sides coming down Hull seem to be losing there better players, they won't do a Wigan though.
This month's Fink Tank subscription newsletter (MM members will remember that last month it tipped RUFC to be relegated as "Best pick" for 2015-16 at 9/4)remains unconvinced; "...loss of Martinez...dismantling of defence...revolving door transfer policy...untried players...lack of proven goalscorer...all suggest that the shortening of odds to around 7/4 is justified." I've emailed the editor GWRU's opinion to see if that leads to a rethink.
XIt doesn't matter who we sign. We could sign Messi, Rooney et al. It doesn't change the fact that we are called Rotherham United and are in the Championship. They don't look any deeper than that.Originally Posted by mygiddypant
You surprise me. When we signed Stockdsle, Proctor et al in 05 I fully expected us to go down as Ronnie was forced to sign players on his Z list. He even said himself during preseason "the only team in this league that worries me is Rotherhsm United". The writing was on the wall rOriginally Posted by KILL_YOUR_HEROES
Confident we'll do better than last season. Few concerns: Right back could have done with someone younger, fitter than Buxton. Mentioned Chesterfield right back. Thorpe played in friendly's but is said to prefer Centre back or Arnie type midfield role.
Big striker, for crosses & when your bound to lump ball up. JCH as more aggression than Bowery if if can get channelled into the right place.
Plus side Roos every chance he's good. Should be strong at Centre back. Midfield looks strong, some options. Should have some width with Grant & Danny Ward, Ladesma & White can play there.
If new coach can get us to gel quickly August looks like there's some points to be had.
