Dundee, Hamilton and Thistle losing last night means we'll be seeded in the next round of the League Cup.
We could still face Hearts, Hibs or Rangers (assuming the latter pair win tonight) which would mean tournament over. You wouldn't put a lot on us beating Falkirk either while Morton and Dunfermline, given their current ridiculous form, would pose major problems.
Essentially we're hoping for Raith or Livingston. And even then...
Daft question, but if we are seeded how can we face Hearts, Hibs or Rangers?
Seeding is based on the finishing positions at the end of last season and we finished last season above those three.
Really doesn't matter. The first team of average ability will pump us. Second rate performances by players who don't give flying feck. Led by a manager who a third rate bluffer, appointed by a board who are blind and will wait till its too late before acting. Sad worrying times.
Agree with hearts or Rangers would expect to lose but Hibs certainly not as they've lost to dumbarton this season so not as good as some think
We barely scaped past East Fife, a second division part time outfit so any half decent side worth their salt will take care of us. And yes, I am fully aware that we comfortably despatched 'Rangers' in the playoffs, but they are now a clearly improved side and no longer have Stuart McCall as their manager, something which turned out to be a huge advantage to us back in May. Hearts would comfortably see us off and I reckon we would seriously struggle against Falkirk or Dunfermline as well because we are, to put it frankly, a poor team with a manager well out of his depth.
Wouldn't exoect anything else from you wonder what u would be like if a Killie fan u would make that you tube guy sound optimistic
You wouldn't expect anything else from me? Okay, well you read what I posted again and then come back and tell me what I said that wasn't at the very least a fair point or observation...
Edit to add: if I or any other Well fan had come out with a similar tirade as that Kilmarnock fan did we'd have the 'Sun has got his hat on brigade' of our support falling over themselves to decry it and declare that we have the worst, most fickle, reactionary (etc) fans in the world.
If we had lost 4 0 going on 10 0 if Dundee and Ross county had taken more of their chances in our 1st 2 home league games I would have no problem with someone doing what the Killie fan did and sure everybody else wouldn't either but seems on here if you ever put up an argument against the doom merchants u r classed as a happy clappy
I wouldn't say so, I think it's more accurate to say that there are some in our support who can see and appreciate that we are a very poor side and are going to struggle badly to remain in the top league. How anyone can seriously watch our games, see our players or listen to the waffle our manager comes out with and fail to see how much trouble we are in and how bad we are is beyond me. It's not challenging a point of view that makes one a 'Happy Clapper', it's refusing to see what is in front of one's eyes and not accepting reality that does.
