Roger, somewhat unfair criticism - there will always be someone up around the clock monitoring the news channels at all hours of the day and night and posting as soon as anything comes up. No site editor can be expected to do that, yet they still have to report the news as they come across it for the main club page, which has to then be linked to the message board even though it's not done exclusively for it.

Isn't a quick scan down the list of new threads to check for duplication quicker than posting a new one?

Criticism where it's due is fine and Bloomer gets a fair bit of stick at times, as do moist editors I imagine. Some of it is good natured, but I get the impression some of it isn't, despite how it may be thinly disguised otherwise. When it comes to Bloomers news posts on the MB, people assume they are just that - MB posts. However they aren't, they are first and foremost news articles that appear on the main page that are linked to the MB.

I don't think people are generally aware of that, hence the criticism.

Well I certainly didn't know that so now at least understand the reason for the seemingly constant late duplications. I dont think i've ever looked at the main board area other than to link through to here. Would it perhaps be an idea to not link them onto the message board then, unless they are previously unreported? that way I for one, and countless others, do not get annoyed when our duplicate posts are shut down only to see one from the site supremo pop up as

As far as I was aware it was a site setting but not sure. But if it's an official FM article and they do want those linking to the MB then thats their prerogative.

The point is, now you and everyone else know it isn't Bloomer taking the ********* and rubbing his position of power into everyones faces then it doesn't really matter if and when they appear.
