    Lasley's game

While Keith was receiving his well earned recognition on Saturday afternoon I was attending a terrific family wedding. So, fill me in, how was the game?

    re: Lasley's game

I enjoyed it. These games - a friendly - are often played at a pedestrian pace but this one had a good rhythm to it and both sides looked to attack throughout. Craig Reid was at right back for the first half and looked useful, while Taylor was very energetic and looked keen. Grimshaw looked very fit but did nothing of real note - early days. Dan was replaced late on by a keeper I did not know - PJ Morrison. Looked a bit nervous. Under 20s right back McMillan came on - looked pacy.Faddy showed some great touches to control and pass but when it came to going past people it did not happen as it once did. He looked frustrated. Stevie Kirk got a good ovation when he came on with Crags right at the end. He's put on a few pounds since '91, but it was good to see him and our previous skipper in 'Well strips once again.
A special mention to those who compiled the programme - it's excellent - and the interviews with past managers and IB underline what a fantastic contribution Keith has made to

Thought faddy showed why he's not got a club yet imo everything he tried never came off and it's painful to watch as u can see the frustration on his face and even though only 60 mins I thought grimshaw looked ok and Taylor had best game so far
