That Baraclough has walked quoting Radio Clyde...cant find anything to verify.
hate to see anyone lose their job, but hope this is true
Im less inclined to bother when football folk at the top league lose their jobs they are paid blooody well get great pay offs and the old boys network protects them. Ordinary punters end up on their @rse
I saw the post you're talking about but nothing to back it up anywhere else, including twitter which is usually one of the best ways of getting such information.
Interesting also to note that on steelmenonline, the amount of posters calling for him to go is growing in number, which tells you something when that place tends to house the hardcore happy clappers who wouldn't dream of criticising the club. When even they turn against the manager, you know we are in serious trouble.
I was all for giving him a chance after we put up with chief chancer McCall. However it is blatantly clear his tactic of employing a million diddys in the hope you find one footballer isn't working. Money wasted again on an experiment that we cannot afford financially to carry out. Get him to feck now and get someone who has a better idea regarding...... Well everything.
That's one of the most galling things out there, that Baraclough has had more financial scope to build a squad than any other Motherwell FC manager since Billy Davies in the late 90s/early 00s and look what we've got. A squad without a midfielder worthy of the bar Stephen Pearson, who without we offer nothing from that area and as such have won ONCE when he has been absent from the team since he returned, have recruited utter dross like Straker, Taylor, Grimshaw, Long and Samson and blown God knows how much in the process and yet we find ourselves worse off than we were at this stage last season! Utterly staggering.
The two playoff matches apart , when we did step up and credit where it's due to Baraclough and the team for that, we have been absolutely woeful since he took over and those two matches bought him a lot more time with the support than he would have gotten had there been no playoffs and only bottom placed team was relegated etc, but we are now in yet another struggl
It's seldom the case, but I tend to agree with mostly everything LSM has said.
It seems somewhat ironic that throughout my time of supporting Motherwell, on the occasions where they did spend, the club have consistently managed to entrust entirely the wrong person with their cash. For me, baraclough just makes the set with McLeish, Kampman and Davies before him. I say 'make the set' because unless Baraclough is replaced by someone willing and capable of turning this clearly demotivated and under performing side, he could just be the manager to oversee our demise.
This happy clapper is no longer clapping!!!!!!
He's had long enough to prove that he isn't up to the job in hand. The question is though, how long will it take the board to step in and rectify the situation? As said before, we got out of jail last season by coming up against an utterly shambolic Rangers side in the play offs. We are sitting in tenth place now and sliding, This season, if nothing is done we may not be so lucky.
there i more chance of me winning the lottery and thats 14 million to 1 than there is barra walking
