    You couldn't make that up!

He's hardly kicked a ball in two years, utterly bizarre decision. That said, when it's him I keep hoping against hope he can somehow roll back the years...but part of me just wishes he'd retire with grace rather than decline so much in public a la Brian Martin.

Let's hope good things come in threes! It is a surprise but MM must see something in James that he thinks can help the team. MM is not one for sentiment as Faddy points out - just ask Jim Leighton - and he is not an 'old mate', so it must be an objective decision based on what he sees in training. I have mentioned before that we lack a creative midfielder; perhaps we might see our old favourite provide a short-term answer.

Didn't see that coming. A bit strange but Faddy must have signed for a reason. Welcome back James.

Seems strange but I'm sure not much money will be involved and McGhee will have a reason for doing it

Never seen that one coming. Football wise a strange one, hoping he can capture some sort of form from the past but I'm not holding my breath. It will always be good to see Faddy in a well shirt, but only if he produces he goods. McGhee some have seen something in him that could help the side. Best of luck to him.

The words "flog, dead and horse" spring to mind here. I sincerely hope he's on a pay as you play deal because he hasn't been frozen out of football since being released by St.Johnstone after an ineffective spell for no reason.

That said, all the very best to him and welcome back. There is not a Motherwell fan put there that wouldn't love to see him get at least some of his previous magic back.

Certainly looks fitter,if he can curb his petulance and gets stuck in like he should then he could be a great signing for the two months we have him tied up for.Cannot doubt his skill and ability but will have to be used maybe as a game changer/impact player for last 20-25 minutes, don't see him starting many games.Best of luck to you Faddy
