It ain't gonna happen is it!

Probably 30-32 points required to stay up in the second half of season, no chance at all with this current squad IMO, we've been in lead in 9 games this season and let games go in the last min in a few, not good enough esp now it's 3 successive seasons at the bottom. Woeful sorry!

I also think it's time to face up to reality and prepare for Division 2.In my opinion we should use the rest of the season by playing our own players to give them added experience ready for what I believe will be another struggle, we pride ourselves on being an academy based club so lets give it a try and also save some cash by returning all but essential loans back. All the clubs finance is based on the academy so it must make sense.

Ok, I accept that we have a tall order in front of us but insurmountable? - did the last 2 seasons not tell you anything? The rather rotund female has barely started singing lessons, let alone arranged a world tour.
We are 4 points from safety and yes, I accept we have had several chances recently to get out of the drop zone but that doesn't mean we won't get any more.

Should Chesterfield give up because they have a similar goal difference, are on a wretched run, and although 4 pts ahead of us have played a game more? - no, I don't think so.
I think Colchester are doomed, probably like many of their fans - but do you think Kevin Keen has given up? I'd like to have been a fly on the wall of his interview if he gave off those negative vibes. "You think we have no chance, Mr. Keen? Can you start tomorrow?"

We are far from dead and a new face (or two

We can't look at it that way, we have half a season to make up 5 points on Chesterfield, 4 points on Fleetwood, 1 point on Oldham and not lose any ground to Colchester.

    It won't be easy but it's do-able.
