    Villa fan in peace

Just wondered how Joe Bennet was getting on with Wednesday this season? I thought it was madness for the club to let him go out on loan after having a good season with Brighton last year and doing well in pre-season too, his loan also left us with only one natural left back at the club, Amavi, and of course he gets a cruciate ligament injury not long after Bennet leaves.
Garde brought Cissoko back in January but I would prefer to have seen Joe back.
Any input would be appreciated, I hope you guys make it up next season, we will see you on our way down.
Random fact, the very first game I ever went to was at Hillsborough, the FA Cup Semi final the year before the disaster, the same teams, Liverpool and Forest (I was a Liverpool fan when very young, my uncle was fairly well off and a Villa fan with links to the directors, That was the only Liverpool game he took me too, it was all Villa after that), I often wonder would we have been there the following year had I stuck with the bin dip

Tbh perhaps the reason you got no response is he hasn't really featured for Wednesday.
I watched Joe in a Dev squad match last Tue v Coventry....with the squad being very strong he, (like 3 others first teamers in that Dev squad game) were getting game time.
You could see he was a cut above.....though he was up against 2 small black guys who were quick and strong (esp their r winger)
He looked well to me....but after a bone-cruncher against one of these black lads in first half (sound was enough to make you wince) he was pulled off early 2nd half.
I think Carlos likes to integrate players thoroughly, so we'll have a better idea by season end.

Villa going through a tough period atm....although the reactions it will stir up will be good and necessary reactions.

Not seen anything of him yet.

What's happening at Villa these days? A shame to see them in the position they are in.

Can't remember seeing him play yet tbh (if he has)..
Villa are a massive club and shouldn't be in the position they are..
    Years of mis- management?
    Ring any bells...

Yeh, the worst thing is we fans have seen this coming for 5 years and warned Lerner about his lack of interest, but the signings made in the summer were the finals traw. Not decent experienced player to replace Vlaar, Delph and Benteke.
I fear we will go down again next season as we just don't have enough good young player coming through.
We could even end up floating for a few seasons, until the **** sells to somebody who will invest, and at a reasonable price, I think he still wants 150 milllion for the club, even though we are to be relegated, Doug Ellis sold him the club for 60 million 10 years ago on the provision that he invest and grow the club.
Surprised Joe hasn't featured more, he was great for Brighton last season.I like the lad.

As a neutral here Im really shocked to see Villingham in their current place, and this comes after an Fa cup final appearance in the previous season. Just what has gone wrong here for the 'better' half of Brum City ?

No sure why you should be shocked. Villa is a club which has been in decline for a number of years. It has been a selling club and replacing those players with cheaper and inferior players and they have been sliding down the table year after year. This season was inevitable unless there was to be massive investment. Big support does not equal Premiership survival - look at Sunderland and Newcastle.
