A brilliant afternoon's work. Onward and upward. Can we make it three wins in a row on Friday? - view external link

Just listened to MM post match, fair play to him. Delighted with win, delighted for him too. He's taken it tight over the last few weeks, (from me included) but you can see the relief in him. Nice cheeky comment about us I enjoying our win like they enjoyed their draw in January.
Enjoy your glass of vino tonight Mark....well deserved.

Would definitely settle for same result on Friday night,by all accounts Dundee United played today with 10 men with a high intensity level and continued to play a very attacking game.I'm hoping they have taken a lot out of themselves.Feel that we are beginning to look like the team McGhee was promising when he took over.

In very small doses. We were predictable and poor for the last 25mins today, long ball hoof to no one cos we sat too deep again. For all our first half possession Accies had the best chances , 3 clear instances they should have buried before we scored in 1st half, had they had their shooting boots on we could have been in bother. We played some neat football in the first half but still struggled to get a shot away. Over the piece we deserved to win but we still seem incapable of finishing a game on the front foot. Frankly I couldn't care less if we are sh1te for 90 mins as long as we win. The attitude was bang on

We had the measure of Accies today; as they used to say in 'Dad's Army', 'they don't like it up 'em', and, at long last at NDP, we did our share of the chasing and harrying and got the points. We still perpetrated a bit too much hoofball - the fact is that our best chances came when we got some passing going. What worked with a 6'4" Higdon disnae dae wi' a 5'4" McDonald.
An observation which can be made seeing that we won; how much time is lost when the ball goes beyond the hoardings at the 'supermarket end'? It sometimes took ages to come back!

I 'd agree with most of that. Accies were a very annoying team and relied overly on a physical and cynical approach. In that respect they got their just desserts. It was great to score a goal there, lift 3 points and not let down a large travelling support.

We played well enough in the
