    Top six achieved

Given the results going our way, I think we can congratulate the manager and players on a great recent run to secure a top six finish. Depending on the cup we may even have an outside chance at sneaking into Europe but even if we hit the beach now (and I think this is a distinct possibility sadly) being safe from relegation going into the last five games is something everyone would have grabbed back in October. Or February.

As it stands our post split fixtures should be Celtic,Aberdeen and Ross County away and Hearts and St.Johnstone at home wouldn't be too hard on the manager and players after today's game as recently as February fans would have been happy to finish 10th so at worse we will finish 6th and have extra money from league position.I'm not MM biggest fan but he was given a job to do and has delivered. He now has the opportunity to bring in his own players, and with top six place guaranteed hope he can go and get them early doors on pre contracts.

Very fair assessment. When the family asked me what I would like for my (73rd) birthday in February, I said 'For the 'Well to stay in the Premier League'. It looked 'iffy' at the time. Now we're top six, a position achieved, let's not forget, by having more points than all of our rivals bar three; where we ultimately end up may depend on the distribution of the remaining fixtures; we've had Celtic and Aberdeen at Fir Park recently, so they could easily be 'aways'; will we have two 'homes' or three 'homes'? I don't know, but I'm quite looking forward to the remaining games.

A wee trip to Dingwall last game of season would do nicely, great away day.

Huge congratulations to McGhee and the players, I'm not sure we've deserved it over the piece but we've put together a great run of late, today apart, and pulled away from being a shoe in for the playoffs in February.

I hope of course that we finish as high as we can, but I'm not atall bothered about Europe as that's a level we just don't belong at and all it amounts to is two games against some nomark side who beat us with us. And we lose money from it.

Scraping into the top six of a monumentally weak top flight is more special than winning the country's flagship football trophy?

Each to their own but that's baffling.

Well done to mm and the players for securing a top six place. No play offs of relegation dog fights this year. European place? No thanks, just a drain on the club.

Aye, plus the fact we'd have to hope that Celtic win the Cup for it to happen. I'll give that a bye.
