It's not like you, Southerly to kick off on a topic. You normally fill in the slot just behind me.

Back to subject matter. It was not so very long ago that we were in the play off zones and you were in the lower half under NLN for about five seasons. Yes, our past glories were glorious. Even if Leicester, great team as they are do take the Premiership, they will not win the European Championship twice in a row. Notts Forest? Tut Tut. I would have thought better even from you.

To achieve this they have to convince the league that they are now back in compliance, ie they are now losing less than than the allowed deviation. It's common knowledge that the new rules allow a loss of £13m, but that's only if the shareholders put in £8m in cash. If there is no shareholder investment, and loans don't count, the maximum is £5m.

Now there's no way that Forest will get under that, unless they sell a player for about £8m, and they don't have a player worth that (at least until Asambalonga starts scoring a goal a game). As Fawaz hasn't invested any money so far beyond originally buying the club, and he's looking to sell up now, does anyone believe that he will suddenly start putting cash into Forest? Even then, with their lacklustre gates and declining season ticket sales, they might still struggle to get under a £13m loss. Even t
