Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse

I see Graham Potter today being interviewed by one of the Brighton papers said that they would have to consider whether or not it made sense to bring back some of their loanees in January given their worsening situation with Covid.

Let’s hope he doesn’t come back for either Clarke or Molumby.

How soon do they have to inform the clubs if they wish to recall a player from loan?
    A day, a week?

If we lose one, or God forbid both, we could have problems. Mowett and Johnstone are out for three games plus Ajeyi at the ACN so if we lose both of them we would be down to the bare bones. O' Shea is back in training but not ready yet. Mind you, the skeleton side that we put out against Reading was one of our better performances, so who knows?

I suppose it depends if there is a clause in the loan agreements to recall them, although I thought Molumby was a loan to buy would they risk recalling him and lose out on a possible transfer fee.? Clarke has done well but we could probably get by without him with Townsend playing left centre back and Reach wing back.
