    England v Slovakia Matchday Thread

There's plenty of rumours doing the rounds in the media and on numerous football websites that Hodgson could make up to six changes for the final group game tonight against Slovakia. England need only a draw to go through, a win will mean England top the group.

It's all England so far and Vardy has had a couple of chances, the second one the closest we have come, keeper did well for Slovakia.

Wales really going for it leading Russia by 2-0.

England have been on top for the majority of the half, two decent chances for Lallana and Vardy, bit it's 0-0 going into the second half. England have had quite a bit of success down our right hand side. The delivery from corners and free-kicks leave a lot to be desired though.

Too casual at the back at times, a big let off for Smalling when chesting the ball to Joe Hart. It's no big surprise to see Rooney coming on.

I could criticise the changes made before hand, but England's failure has been to break down a stubborn Slovakian side. We've had chances, but haven't put one away. Slovakia happy to just soak up what England have put on them, as an attacking side Slovakia have offered nothing at all.

It disgusts me when teams like Slovakia come to a tournament and blatantly play for a draw (in this case, a 0-0). But didnt we all criticise Ronaldo when he said the same about Iceland's attitude against his own Portugal side ?
I think Hodgson was stupid for making all those pointless changes, and its never easy playing against 11 men behind the ball. But what does this say about us eh, when we failed to beat two abysmal teams like Slovakia & Russia.
