I'm more than happy to admit my initial reaction to Coyle was incorrect. Not for a second am I suggesting he is the next messiah, but he has brought in some much needed stability, he knows exactly what he's got to work with and is enthusiastic. For now that's good enough. His signings so far have been excellent including Robin, this young lad from City, and hopefully more to follow. A bit of positivity going into a season goes a long way. For his flaws, I do think Coyle will get them feeling positive.

On another note (can't be arsed starting a new thread) ...
It's good to see Corey Evans and Duffy do well for their respective Ireland's. I thought Duffy was excellent the other night vrs Italy.

I am more than happy to echo that Champs, and yes for me also he appears to be doing all the right things so far.
Of course 'the proof of the pudding......' and all that, but so far so good.

I'd be the first to be vocal if things went absolutely tits up.
So I need to step back and look at this subjectively. On doing so, look at what is happening, it's quite positive. It would be wrong to not acknowledge that.
The idea is to get us all pulling in the same direction. We are limited in our budget, and who we can attract. Same manager wise.
And it needs to be done on a cost saving exercise set out by the Owners.
His enthusiasm, his intial signings all seem positive. If it gets everyone feeling better about the situation going into the season, then the results that will inevitably come, that go against us, won't be taken with derision. Had they had been with that initial first wave of negativity. Which in hindsight was harsh and unfair. It's more interesting now and I admit it's caught my attention as to what's going on. It's not the shambles I first imagined.
