What's it matter about euro's leave & England. Life goes on but not for Caroline Aherne sadly. Bet Craig Cash is in bits. RIP

This is awful news. A very funny/talented lady.

The Royle Family is one of my favourite comedies.

Outlived by much older cast members including Nannah.

    Shocking to the core.

    R.I.P a comedic genius.

Also very saddened to read this about Caroline - tough working class upbringing yet she still made the most of her lot - and brought laughter into the lives of many. 52 - not that old to some of us.

A lot of famous people from have died this year and with the exception of Ronnie Corbett my usual reaction to the news was 'oh have they'
When my wife came in and said 'she's died from Royle family' I assumed she meant Liz Smith or Sue Johnston. When she said Caroline Aherne I simply refused to believe it and scoured the net for confirmation.

Brilliant comedy writer and must've been a good seller, because as brilliant as the Royle family was it must have taken some selling to sell a sitcom about an idle scouse family all set in one room to the corporates.

    RIP Caroline.....

Massive shock for me us well.

The other one that was similar for me was Victoria Wood, like you, my wife said 'her from dinnerladies' and I immediately assumed Anne Reid or maybe Thelma Barlow.

Losing some people this year and many way before their time.
