I found 3 books on Manchester United that he has published.
Does anyone have contact details for Iain McCartney who writes the articles in the Queens programme.
He published a book last year on Manchester United about the Busby Babes that looked a good read if anyone was interested.

He's published many books about Manchester United over the years and is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford. He's also a very busy man so I wouldn't hassle him Albertz
I have just read Saturdays programme and it was a very good read . The Queens programme is looking very professional these days and most of that is down to the undoubted quality of Ian McCartney's writing . I especially enjoyed the page describing the events of the famous 5-4 SC win over Ayr in 1976. As a young Queens fan growing up , it was a game I heard about discussed many times by older QoS supporters. From having not been there, after reading his piece then that's the nearest I've ever felt to having attended ( If you know what I mean ?). My only concern is that he seems to have written about 80% of the official programme himself and I don't think that is sustainable because of pressures on his own time etc.
Good point Hammer as since Blacko, Gordon Harper, Brucie, Andy Murray (not the tennis legend) etc hung up their pens plus Andy Penn who, mostly on his own, kept it going for the past 8 years now staying on a wee island in the Orkneys big Iain Mac has got
a lot on his plate to keep up the high standard of Saturday's issue. Another point what happended to New Bazaar, Globe, Sanquhar and Lockerbie fan club inputs ?
McCartney's input is excellent and extremely well researched . Without him the official match day programme would struggle
Seriously though lads, maybe we could hear feedback from the man himself about whether he can do this over a period of time , needs help or whatever. I have only said hello to Iain so don't know his feelings . A welcome return I thought was the ' Where are they now' feature. Always good to find out what ex Queens players are up to now . Iain McCartney had done this as well, tracking down David Kennedy for the Ayr programme.
No doubt he is a very busy man if he's published so many books. I'd be willing to assist in some articles for the programme.
Sorry pal but a quick look at Saturday's programme v Ayr actually reveals that Iain Mac has 4 other fans helping him out in the editorial team ! !
