Just shows how hard these 2 plus the rest played. I saw one or two unsavoury tackles by some of the Forest lot.

They look horrendous (perhaps, and I hope, worse than they are) - what is the nature of their injuries?

sawmiller, the Halford pic is called myofascial decompression ( not sure of spelling ) Halford may just have a sore calf from Wednesday night. It's common name is cupping, not sure how it works or whether it works at all. Plenty of athletes try the cupping method.

Izzy Brown's may be the same, tightness in the calf, nothing out of the ordinary for athletes.

Despite what some people think RUFC does try new technology although I think the cupping method goes back to Egyptian time lol.

Thanks Frank - reassuring - if it goes back to Ancient Egypt let's hope it helps us to climb the football pyramid...

The idea of a cup sounds great to me ....

Looks bloody painful what Halford's doing... I get the boot on Izzy though...

Is it me or have scientific ideas progressed or is the modern player manbi pampered too much?

Just think back to the 70's of the players who were just told to get on with it.... thing is they were men of steel who made themselves fit for the next game no questions asked .... Your Giles....Hunter... Harris ....Mackay....St John....
for me today's players are made out of porcelain and THEY dictate how long they will be out... talk about milk a job...

The US swimmer Michael Phelps uses cupping and it doesn't seem to have done him any good as 5 of his 28 Olympic medals are not even gold

I can see the skepticism over modern day injuries but remember the overall fitness levels have increased many fold since those Brin mentions were at the top of the game. Don't forget most of them probably smoked 20 a day.
