    Crewe v Yeovil ****MATCH PREDICTIONS****

I'll plump for a 2-0 win with Lowe and Kiwomya.

OMG! How dare you!!! It is not about winning you know....

However, here's my take - I am sure I will be vilified for this and maybe even hounded by angry mobs with pitched forks, torches and red-hooped shirts.....

I damn well expect a win on Saturday! I want a win, need a win and demand a win!!

(How ****ing dare you, I hear you shout)

DLDDD is not good form in a very poor league. I keep hearing about our amazing attack, but we score 1 goal in each game last 5 (league). We go behind but because we equalise it's "like a win", is it ****!

    At home, expect a win.

    Fence-sitting again Proggs!
I predict a 2-2 draw, just to stir the feeding frenzy of the Davis Out brigade.
Such apoplexy will cause serious palpitations in some quarters, and Steve Davis will go on to secure a run of wins that places us 4th by Christmas.

He's so good, but you have no faith in a home win

Your call is then DLDDD D Awesome. Good job.

I actually think we will win, I want a win and I think it is time we won a game. 1 win from 6 is hardly a big ask in L2

I am almost invariably wrong when I make predictions.
I will, therefore, keep my real thoughts to myself. Apart from 'think', I will agree with you.

I still like to wind up the 'Davis Out' mob.

    Crewe 3 Yeovil 1.

As long as Crewe actually win, I do not mind getting the score wrong. Anything less than a victory will strengthen the SD Out mob and probably recruit others. As far as I am concerned, if I won the lottery and bought the Club against my wife's strong advice, SD would be the first out of the door. I would then have to think who would succeed him.

I'm not Davis out, I'm a Crewe fan who sees we dropped a league and who knows the last 5 have been either poor or average. 5 - 1 to Wycombe.....

I want CAFC to win games, but that's a crime to some.

I like to wind-up the "Davis fans not Alex fans" also. Call a spade a spade AL, DLDDD is not good, nor good return for the faith and enduring 3 years of cak and 80k+

Nobody would ever doubt you being a Crewe fan. I also want to see us win games (and, I admit, that after a poor game, if we've got 3 points, I'm OK), but all I really want is to be entertained. Sometimes that means losing to better sides; mostly it means the Alex playing as a team to a standard that deserves a win, and gets it.

Ever since that memorable JPT Cup win - and, in fact, for a few games before - we have not looked like a winning, entertaining side. I don't put that down solely to the management (although they have taken a share of the blame); I see it as a fundamental shift in the way league football has changed. The Alex has not changed with it to a great extent. The question, therefore, is 'do we want to go down the path that others have trod, or do we stick to the principles that set us apart?' The answer is a matter of opinion and we are all allowed that.

Apologies for writing this on a thread that is all about the Alex picking up 3 much needed and deserved points a little later.

Well, that completely proved me 100% right.

Maybe I could be the manager for a lot less than 80k?
