o/t Rotherham Beer festival RCAT (Rotherham college)

Been down this evening. Smaller scale than Magna or last years of Oakwood. Bit remeniscent of going to Oakwood in early 90's. You probably can get many of the beers on display on Westgate or Wetherspoons, butnever sampled such as, but don't think I have sampled such as Doncaster Cheswold bitter, Exit 33, White Rat, Toolmakers etc.

This one replaces the one held at NYS in previous years. The bigger one is set to return to Magna next year.

Went to the Saturday afternoon session it was OK at best, left disappointed. The venue is OK but NYS is a better venue.

Seems to me that the small brewers are just turning out easy to brew formula beer giving it a daft pun name and hoping it sells.

The venue lacked enough toilets (what goes in must come out) laugh of the day was the disabled toilet (key access only) which had four signs on it, wheelchair symbol, little stick man, little stick woman and a fourth stick person wearing half a dress, but sadly it was in keeping with the posters on the notice boards which warned of excessive drinking, drug abuse, forced marriages, and how to join a transgender social group. Nothing remotely academic like study groups, library services or anything else connected to learning.

I see the BBC has jumped on the pathetic transgender bandwagon with a CBBC programme "Just a Girl" aimed at six-year olds.

De Souza, Rastafarian, production company in Newham, voice actors are black. So it's OK. Even Lenny Henry approves.

Channel 4 is obsessed with it, in an adbreak earlier they showed two promos for upcoming trans programmes.

On one of them they said that someone saying "a transgender woman is a man" is "hate" rather than an actual fact.

No doubt the government will soon make it a hate crime to say that, telling the truth will be a crime we're living in a crazy Stalinist world now.

They've also been showing promos of Gina Yashere saying "everyone wants to be black", imagine a white woman on TV saying; "look at the sales of skin bleaching products across Asia and Africa, everyone wants to be white".

It would definitely provoke an interesting reaction.
