Derby County head to Molineux this weekend. They've had a strange season. After hiring Nigel Pearson to lead their next charge toward promotion, he was fired within the first two months of the season. While results have gotten better since his dismissal, they're still sitting in the 19th spot in the table, behind Wolves on only goal difference. they've since re-hired Steve McClaren after he left them last season to go to Newcastle, where he ultimately failed. I imagine he'll have them improving over the course of the season. Trouble is, they've let their top scorer go out on loan to Fulham. Chris Martin did very well for Derby under McClaren's coaching. I don't know the details of his loan, but I imagine he could get a recall in January. Despite being out on loan, he's still Derby's top scorer this season. Derby have scored a whopping 9 goals this season. A pretty dismal number. But they have only conceded 11, which is good for second best in the league.

Wolves are in a bit of limbo, waiting on the hiring of a new manager. I like Rob Edwards, many have nice things to say about him, but we just don't know what he's like as a first team manager. Will be curious if we've made a hire by this weekend's match or if this is his second audition for the job. Either way, I"m not sure what to expect.
