I can understand the logic, humans have made a mess of recruitment so why not employ a computer to do the job.

What did we have before? Film carry on loving Sid James got the latest computer known to man in a dating agency. He puts this punters details in, Hattie Jacques is at the back puts any unsuspecting reply back through.

Stubbs must have put Blackstocks details through to Paul Douglas who must have been pi**ed & sent a 3yr contract back through. Can't make it up.

You never know Blackstock could have a bright future at Rotherham - who knows - perhaps a player coach role for our attack minded youngsters. But some posters have the future wrapped up havn't they. They wrote the history and own the future.... After initially grumbling about all this analytics and new fangled ideas , I'm from the old skool , it does appear to work , at least in respect that the systems we use for recruitment .

We signed more duffers than anybody previously , but not so much now .

The players it highlights are still scouted in the old way and investigations carried out into attitude etc etc but it's the data that brings them to our attention .
