    Joe Mason and Mike Williamson

Both players made their long awaited comebacks from injury last night in the U23s 4-0 defeat to West Ham. They both managed to get 45 minutes under their belts.

Williamson, if he can be solid, will be a big addition. A leader that could settle the back four quite a bit. When he was with us on loan, we seemed like a competent defending team.

Mason is still tied for the most goals on the team from a forward, sadly. He has never really gotten a consistent chance in a Wolves shirt, with KJ seemingly not preferring him at all (even when we had next to no other options) and getting froze out by Zenga after a solid individual start to the season and then the injury. He'll have to fight for minutes with Dicko back and another forward on the way in January (if Lambert's wishes are heeded)

Don't know much about Mason, but I agree I think a fit and available Williamson will have a big positive stabilizing effect on our defending capabilities.
