    Can footballers be sacked

Can footballers be sacked for not doing their job properly?

If a keeper starts coming for catches and keeps missing?
    T
A defender who can't head the ball to safety?

A full back who constantly allows to winger to cross?

A winger who can't get passed his man or put a cross in on a regular basis?

If a forward doesn't score enough goals?

Is it right that a player does not put enough effort into training should only lose out from getting into the team.

Should the clubs be allowed to sack these players?

Like any other job the club will have policies in place that define what can be seen as gross misconduct and as a result setting out the basis on which you can be sacked.

Unfortunately consistently playing badly and making school boy errors is unlikely to be seen as gross misconduct.

Should clubs be able to go through performance improvement plans and discipline players who fail to meet the targets set, definitely as it would make players who are sat here on what they see as a nice big fat juicy 3 year final bite of the cherry the need to put some effort in and at least look interested.

Do you get a bigger punishment for getting the sack in Barnsley?

For the first time i my life other than football I wanted to be in Barnsley the other day.

I was watching tv where they were making mince pies. I know it doesn't sound like any sort of reason to go to Barnsley but they were in the Mr. Kiplings factory. I have been telling my daughter about them for years especially around the time when we've suffered a home made cake created by her mother.

It looks brilliant there. My friends arrived to spend New years with us. We now have Mr. Kiplings mince pies!

I think the key to sorting this issue is for us to stop signing crap players.
