All this "guff" about a manager not wanting relegation on his CV!

Can't quite get my head around this one. What football fan, player, chairman, pundit or anyone involved in the game would seriously lay the blame for relegation at a manager's door, who was appointed (for arguments sake) at the end of January 2017 when we are maybe 18 points adrift?

Not one is my guess. They would all say "well they were relegated by the end of November"

All this crap about a manager not wanting a relegation on his CV is totally irrelevant. For example, let's say a manager comes in at the end of January and we as expected we go down. Let's say that manager rebuilds and stabilises the side over the following 2 seasons and then in his 3rd year takes us up. Let's assume then that he attracts the attention of a bigger club, like Ipswich, who approach him to take over their struggling side. Do you really think that the relegation that happened while he was at the millers would prevent Ipswich from offering him the job? Or is it more likely that the Ipswich chairman would use his intelligence and say, well he was manager of a relegated Rotherham side but if I remember correctly (he can at this point even check the record books to confirm) they were dead and buried months before he took over?

Rather than seeing the inevitable relegation as a stumbling block we should use it as a way of identifying a manager with the right attitude, and highlighting the person who has got the b alls to do the job, without getting all obsessed about his CV!

Paulo Di canto for one would not be up all night worrying about a blemish on his CV. He couldn't give a sh tie and that's the sort of person we need.

So lets stop creating problems where there are none and get a new manager in who has the b alls to sort this out!

    That isn't the problem.
The problem is finding someone at the moment.

In my view we'll have to wait until someone becomes available in say March when Chairmen start to get nervous. Another second rate Manager isn't what we need.

Surely we would have appointed a Gary Rowett type by now but he doesn't want to join us therefore we have to continue with PW.

I love Paul Warne and he should have a job for life with this club but he has said multiple times that he does not want to be the manager. He is only doing the job at the minute due to his love for the club as he doesn't want to leave us in any worse situation than the one we are currently in.

The boardroom need to appoint an actual manager and fast. Don't tell me we can't rush it and we need to take our time, we have been manageress now for 6 weeks. How much time do they need?

A manager needs to get to know the current team and decide who he thinks will be good enough for L1 next season. It will be absolutely suicidal to wait until the end of the season and let a new man judge players solely by what he sees in pre season training. A trip to Poland won't help either.
