Sad but true down to two.

My first game at Millmoor 1958 with my dad two uncles & three cousins,as I got older I started going with my mates from school, ten of us.Then a few mates & lads I worked with about six of us.Then the lads from the pub Six**** of us.Now just two of us go,I have asked a few why they don't go any more, bad health & money but most said they just don't love it any more.Ive got to be honest I find it harder each week to get motivated to trudge down to NYS.Yes the Millers are in my blood & always will be but so was it for the rest I have mentioned.Yes we have new fans taking their place but are they the 20,30yrs+ supporters, I doubt it.Yes I have had the bad days & the good days but I do feel very strongly that we have never had a better chance in all my years has a Miller to push on & I don't mean the Prem.To build & put down a strong platform so we can grow each year BUT Sad but true down to two what a shame.

"Sad but true down to two what a shame"

If this is a lament about only two of you going together to the NYS then forgive me for the rest of the post. Your plight is similar to many Rotherham fans - numbers declining over the years - with family and friends loosing interest.....

However - if you're suggesting the MILLERS are destined "Down to two"...then......

We are a good club without debt...much said about Huddersfield and how well they're doing but they are millions in debt - and that debt will multiply year on year...

Wigan - on TV now - still greatly benefitted from parachute payments - and still are - but they have thrown money at staying up....

Now if they do - then good on them.....

But if they go down then they have to
    sell - sell - sell.....and that's a recipe for league two....

Now Rotherham United have bugger all debt - a strict wages policy and if we go down our squad will be one of the best in league one... which is good news and bodes well for the future.

Short term risk v long term survival

And long term survival wins every time.....

We were all sad when Rotherham United were almost at an end and the town benefits in many ways....so if nothing else....Rotherham United need to survive!
