o/t Does anyone seriously believe that the BBC news is NOT left wing, today?

Once upon a time the scruffs who sold the Socialist Worker in the early 80's would tell anyone who would listen (and plenty who wouldn't) that the BEEB was in the hands of the Tories. They actually had a credible case, it was hard to ignore incidents like the re-editing of the Orgreave footage to aportion blame to the Miners rather than the police.

The past though, as they say, is a foreign country. We have now turned full circle even though a good news service should be impartial, without on the spot reporters slanting reports in favour of their own political views. Witness the coverage of Trump. Left wing media-studies post graduates, who suddenly find themselves working for the Beeb, report from Washington, free to air their disdain, making sneering reports about Trump which no doubt get applause back at the Beeb from their like minded colleagues.

The editing too is loaded with left wing bias. Last night a reporter spoke for 5 minutes from JFK airport while a woman in a protest held a sign above the reporters head (this was close enough to be touching her head). The anti Trump banner proudly announced "we are all immigrants". Now would Aunti Beeb have allowed the report if there was a protester holding up a placard saying " send 'em all back" ? Not on your life!

This has been going on for years and not only on the news. Dramas set centuries ago suddenly have people in them who have ultra modern, lefty liberal attitudes . I will wait with baited breath for the serialisation of Conan the Barbarian which will no doubt feature a black bi***ual character who after being ostracised by Conan and his men will eventually steer them towards enlightenment with a few group sessions on equality and diversity.

Now I don't want the BBC to tilt to the right. I want objective reporting, warts 'n' all. We are grown ups we can handle the ugly truth. So please stop plying us with this soppy lefty/ liberal bollo cks and report the truth as objectively as you can.
