    Fra v Eng

We are not going to win World Cup if these are the best we have.

    Sending off?

Got a bad feeling about Southgate, don't think he's going to cut it.

    Nothing to do with Southgate.

Players not good enough, poor decision making

Another Dier performance - totally lacking in quality at the back and u front - final ball very poor and defensively ....well who rates the value of these English players...FFS Stones £47M youre having a larf .Very poor tactics and the only sense from last night was Glenn Hoddles comments , one of the best managers we have had ,Southgate ...poor choice but hey he's English and we don't have many of them to choose from at this level. If we bumped down the so called value of our players and wages accordingly where would they end up playing because you can get a full team of overseas players for the same money - that maybe kick start our guys into striving to be better so they could earn more money.

Agreed. You (hopefully) learn more from a defeat than a victory. Adulation and chest-beating were rife following the Under-20s World Cup win but the signs of future failure were plain to see, not least, an inability to keep possession.

France changed the pace of the game when it suited them.
We are pedestrian and lack any real potency in midfield or attack.
How many world class players do we have ?

Team has too many show ponies. All fur coat but no knickers.

Strong on the golf course but weak on the field.

Getting to a major competition semi final stage would be a major achievement for that squad

Things will keep getting worse as long as they put so much money and effort into the so called Champions league. That matters more to these players now than playing for their countries.

Personally I think that they needs to be a pay cap which can only be lifted for players who an international cup for their country some players like whale Rooney and joe hart are on ridiculous big money and have never won a cup for their country yet some Germany and Portugal players are on wages a fraction of the price

What we are desperate for is a reality check from all concerned to realise that our biggest problem is in actual fact our FA and it's kowtowing to all things premier league. I've often said it, that our youngsters are among the best in the world, a fact rubber stamped by the under 20 world cup win, but very few of those players will play in the country's top league, due to the clubs being allowed to buy cheap foreign imports, meaning there's no chance for them to improve, they get farmed out to championship clubs, playing against player's inferior to them, and then they stagnate.

This is why our senior team struggles, there's no strength in depth, those players in that squad know there's not really any competition, so they play beneath themselves, give less than 100%,subconciously, because they can, and still get picked.
