OT Yarmouth races yesterday

Any of you horse punters see or hear about yesterday's shamozzle in the 1st race?
A 2 year old first time out horse called Manderin princess should've run but the trainer mistook her for another horse and put the far superior and a year older stablemate Millie's Kiss in who duly won at 50/1 beating the odds on favourite to 2nd.

Thankfully most of the high street bookies are paying out both 1st and 2nd but on course punters have done their money.

Don't horses have a number tattooed in their ear like greyhounds do, surely there must be a better system than "she looked like the right horse"

I've already done this story!

All horses are microchipped and this is how this was found out after the race at the dope testing area.

The horses were scanned on arrival at the course but inadvertently switched before the race.

Punters on course will get paid out on the 4/6 favourite eventually but only if they have retained their ticket and that's a big IF.

Coral paid me out on the second as I think all off course bookies have done.

Very very poor from Yarmouth officials!
