I'm expecting quite a few changes for tonight's league cup second round game. A long trip for myself and the 1500+, so i hope Wolves can give us something to shout about!

    Wolves started really well.

Dicko just had two chances then missed an absolute sitter.

I just hope we put in a good performance and get back in the "groove" as it were. Not fussed about the result either way.

What kind of lineup did we put out?

Reading about the game and loking at the highlights.

Dicko missed 3 easy chances to score.

The lad is consistent if nothing else.

    Good win for Wolves .

An excellent win again on the road for Wolves. At last night night's game was one where both sides tried to play a decent passing game. Both sides in the first half squandered decent chances, Dicko the culprit for Wolves, as you will all see from the highlights, three chances he had to open the scoring. From a Southampton perspective they finished the first half on the front foot, two decent headers and a couple of wayward shots. I feared the worst for the second half, but fear not, the introduction of Connor Ronan changed the course of the game for me, his introduction gave Jordan Graham a lot more freedom down the Wolves right hand side. With Ronan pulling the strings Wolves looked a threat going forward.

It's quick and easy for a player who isn't being selected for the first eleven not to be 100% when playing in this competition, but i can't fault anyone again last night. It was good to see Danny Batth head Wolves in front, i'd be disappointed if i was a Southampton fan with their defending though.

I'm glad after we took the lead that we didn't try and sit back, we kept at it. To get the second goal from Donovan Wilson just after coming on was the icing on the cake, this despite Southampton introducing Redmond, Gabbiadini and Long at 1-0.

The defence stood up well when under pressure and a mention for Deslandes, looked composed on the ball, one run he made with the ball in the second half, everything around him seemed to just part. Also doubt about Will Norris seemed to have gone, he made crucial saves and did him self no harm at all with his all round game.

Bristol Rovers next up at Molineux, i can't wait!

In fairness I thought all of Dicko's so called sitters were anything but, I thought he was a little unfortunate with the way the ball ran in each case.
