    EFL Cup Second round draw

Northern Section Number 25 will be at home to Number 10. Now that would be nice wouldn't it.

Seems we're unseeded underdogs bet not many in the seeded section will want to draw us. Find out around 10 p.m. tonight in the draw, time subject to Bury and Sunderland not playing extra time.

The Northern and Southern sections only applied to the 1st Round.

Its a country wide format in the 2nd Round according to this, trust The Star to MyBad a report.

Can someone explain to me how Newport are in the North, while Burton are in the South?

Have they simply mixed up two teams who play in similar colours?

Not until you take off your undercrackers and come out of Suggs bay window

Have they divided up the Welsh teams separately and Newport is further North than Swansea and Cardiff?

The official reason is to avoid the possibility of a West Ham - Newport draw as both teams grounds are not available (West Ham because of the athletics and Newport as the pitch is being relaid).
