    Transfer fees

I remember posting this last year but they've gone even crazier this year. 20M for a below average Prem player (Chadli) I'm not sure how we could compete even if by some miracle we went up this season. I see Newcastle are looking to offload Dwight Gayle but if we went in for him we'd probably be quoted 25M. Ridiculous.

I think we should stay out of it. Keep bringing in youth like we have done this summer and get them out there. Shop in the bargain market. Lerner's people had a great idea with the 'money ball' dealings, however it needed tweaking or someone who knew what they were doing

Southampton have done really well and established themselves in the prem whilst selling players for big money. We have wasted a fortune so yes, focus on blending the youth with the right experience in & around them.

About 2 years ago when bale when to Madrid I asked my dad if he thought we would see the first ever billion pound player. He scoffed at it and said maybe I would see it but not in his lifetime. I reckon that player is already playing out there. Some 15 year old lad to be bought by PSG in 5 years time for a billion pounds
