A bit of pressure starting to build , Hecky clearly feeling the heat and getting himself sent to the stands after the Millwall penalty , little wonder having seen the tackle , Matty Pearson made a wonderful tackle and won the ball clean and their lad simply fell over .
Not like Hecky to lose his cool but decisions such as the one today just make his job harder and it's hard enough as it is bedding this new team together .
Nice to see Bradshaw grab two today , very smart finishers , he's got it in my opinion but we need to see more consistency , he's getting there though .
Keeps our heads above water with 11 points on the board , keep ticking over at this rate and the improvement to come we may be ok .
Very pleased tonight .
And so say all of us 🎶🎶🎶
Pressure might have been building but with PC still at the helm common sense was always going to prevail.
But, when the takeover is complete we might see more irrational decisions being made.
We might well have got our pen because Hecky had a go at the ref at half time.
Ours was as soft as theirs.
Good to see McGeehan start and game time for Bird & Thiam.
I think we'll be alright this season providing the new owners don't get get an itchy trigger finger.
There seems to be a few poor teams this season.
Next batch of games look tough , Boro , Hull and Wendy , I'd take 4 points now if offered .
Maybe 2 is more realistic and none wouldn't be surprising .
Just got to hang in there at the moment and play the mini league thing in my opinion which is why beating Millwall was important today because they form part of our mini league and are going to be down there with us this season .
2 home games against the relegated prem club's will be difficult but our players should be relishing the challenge. Hull are inconsistent and defensively vulnerable at times. They can be got at.
Boro are hitting a poor run so the international break has come at the right time for them. Wednesday away at swillsbro is virtually a guaranteed defeat as we know. Yes I'd say 4 points from the next 3 games would be more than acceptable
I agree Animal that the 'mini-league' is ***** for us this season, we really must try to do as well as or even better than the other struggling teams.
We all think Burton of course, and looking at it now Bolton as well are really going to struggle. So can we play that 'confident card' where we are thinking about only one more relegation place to avoid ?.
We will be alright and even stronger with a couple more signings January takeover or not 👍👍👍
And who was that team old Goaty ?.
No we cant take things for granted at this early stage, and who is to say that the bigger clubs like Birmingham & Sunderland wont both continue to struggle. And one team who I still think are in a lucky false position are Mic Mac's Ipswich.
Much as I'd like to see ex-Prem teams sliding into League 1, I don't think Sunderland will fall that far. Get rid of Grayson and any half-decent manager with those kinds of resources and support could get them out of trouble. Birmingham though, yeah I could see them in a relegation scrap. Bit surprised to see Reading and Brentford down near the bottom, but maybe they've had their day too. QPR and Millwall are flattering to deceive, wouldn't be surprised to see them slip a few places.
