    Nolan's team selection.

A week and a half ago Notts easily beat the league leaders on their own pitch, so what did Nolan do? He dropped five players. We then, four days later, with this new selection, went to Mansfield where we played like a bunch of Frenchmen - an awful display - and what does Nolan do today? He keeps faith with TEN of these misfits and again they reward him with the same shambolic display. Change for changes sake is not a sign of confidence, Kevin.

I said at half time, Ameobi on for Stead, (at least the ball might stick) and Sandra on for Hawker. Him and Grant should then swap wings. But did Nolo listen? Did he bumba.

Time Nolan went, he does not have a clue. We should run the team, you know it makes sense with all our experience

Nolan dropped 4 or 5 players for the Exeter game and we won comfortably so the point doesn't really stand. He also did the same for the Swindon game too that we won.

Can't really fault today's selection although I'd prefer to see Ameobi starting if he's fit as he's far more of a threat.

Stead should not even be starting....the guy has lost it...Shola, yes, Aless in his place possibly......where is the Saunders lad?

Stead should not have been re-signed. Whilst ever we continue with him the goals will not flow...Unfortunately we have no ready made replacements. Simply because the players we signed before the start of the season in Saunders and Hodge are simply not goo enough at this level...

Any other negative comments you've been pretty quiet lately but unlike the first team you turned up today. I'm happy with Nolans performance in fact more than happy. I don't disagree with you but you still need to shut your face up. Boring old fart!

Look who it is...it's durhampie. I completely forgot you post on this board over last few months.

What a surprise it is you turn up when we've had a couple of negative results and criticise the managers team selction.

What a coincidence your return is...

Unfortunately i am right again......We have had two good games this season, One against Wycombe and the other against Exeter. All the rest have been poor to say the least. I know we are second in the league but on these performances we will not be there for long.. The manager has his favourites which is the problem.....

Actually we weren't that good against Exeter (read my match thread).......we got a very quick goal thanks to starting a striker-cum-winger that actually sprinted onto a bouncing ball.....no substitute for pace eh? (Stead only understands "pace" if it is connected to "maker" BTW)....Exeter then tossed away a couple of gilt-edged chances to score and actually go ahead in the game......it was actually easier to score than miss.

We then obviously realised that Exeter couldn't score if the net was twice the size......and finished them off, well done Notts.....superb 3 points against the current league leaders......but hardly a recommendation for our candidature for automatic promotion......Mansfield, and now the "veggies" have brought us down to earth with a huge bump

KN needs to get a grip, we are way ahead of where we thought we'd be, but he needs to kick on now towards 80 points, not keep talking about "50 points is my goal" or "FGR are a good side"....FFS, no they're not, the league table says they're complete tossers and we should be whacking 5 past them.....stop trying to be the "nice guy, arms around shoulders"
