    King, McDonald and Stanton

I consider these 3 as part of the reason that we have improved under Shabba and today they stepped up to the plate to get the result.

McDonald playing the deeper role confirms to me that is where he should be playing. Covered a hell of an amount of ground today and i was surprised he lasted the 90.

King is another who covers a good amount of ground. He deserves a bit more credit for the work he does off the ball and was out on his feet late on when he was through on the keeper. Him and Robson have a really good partnership up that left side.

Stanton i think is the best player we have here at the minute and deserved more than the goal for the effort he put in. Maybe should have had a few today, especially near the end where he busted a gut to get into position, but i think King didnt expect help to come.

I just hope we can keep them fit and Shabba brings in the right help.

Agree totally about McDonald and Stanton. King does a power of work, covers a lot of ground and bamboozles opponents with flicks and tricks but doesn't get enough decent crosses in for my liking.

the three were very good today, though King should have scored at least one second half.

We need re-inforcements big time. That team as it is at present is going to keep dropping points away from home. Falkirk and Dunfermline going to be 2 tough back to back away games.

Stanton was excellent today, put in a power of work, good feet deserved MOTM. King made some good runs as did McDonald but he needs to be more clinical and McDonald needs to work on his first touch despite his two goals.
Although we won convincingly there were long periods of the game where we looked flat and against better opponents we would struggle. We have to strengthen and fast as hard away games coming up. But a good start to the year.
