Whatever you think of Richard Branson, it is great that people like him are willing to push the boundaries of technology so that the human race can evolve.

You may think that these schemes are vanity projects, but, as a race, we are still excited by new challenges and Government backed schemes like these have not continued as fast as they were doing in the 60's.

People such as Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk should also be commended.

Elon Musk developed the Tesla Car and also owns SpaceX which intends to develop commercial flights to Mars.

Jeff Bezos (CEO of Amazon) is also trying to make space travel commercially available.

I know a lot of people will argue that it is all a waste of money, with so many challenges on Planet Earth (the same argument was used during the Apollo moon landing program), but I think that people like these inspire people like me and especially the younger generations to get into technology that will ultimately better all our lives.
