    Your best Premier League

Ok, a slight diversionary thread for the weekend. Take our minds off our possible non-participation in the transfer window (or even next year's Premier League, ironically).

If you could take your pick of twenty teams which you think represent the best the 'top' league has ever had, who would you pick? Only restriction is that they have to have been in the Premier League/old First Division. Other than that, any reason for inclusion or non--inclusion goes.

    In no particular order:

    Newcastle United
    Liverpool
    West Ham United
    Leeds United
    Preston North End
    Manchester United
    Arsenal
    Tottenham Hotspur
    Nottingham Forest
    Aston Villa
    Sheffield Wednesday
    Everton
    Blackburn
    Chelsea
    Derby
    Wolves
    Sheffield United
    Portsmouth
    Ipswich
    Blackpool

Would be some cracking games in there, I reckon.

Couple of obvious omissions...never liked Man City... ever and, well, it's funnier not to put the mackems in.

Give it a shot-we've got nowt else to talk about.

    West Ham United
    Leeds United
    Preston North End
    Manchester United
    Arsenal
    Tottenham Hotspur
    Nottingham Forest
    Aston Villa
    Sheffield Wednesday
    Everton
    Blackburn
    Chelsea
    Derby
    West Brom
    Sheffield United
    Southampton

Any club that Ian Holloway is managing just for his after game comments.

I was trying to think of specific squads too... like Newcastle's 95/96 squad, Norwich's 96/97 squad (with Craig Bellamy, Ade Akinbiyi, Robert Fleck, Bryan Gunn etc.) but I realised that was way too much thought. Good idea for a thread though!
