Thanks OC! Don't know why the Burnley Press Officer could not have disclosed that information?

I've just discovered depending on the grade of the injury, the lowest grade (grade 1) can take between 2 and 10 weeks for the injury to fully heal. Recovery times for grades 2 and 3 can take several weeks to several months.

    I still think Wood's a mard arse!

On a serious note, what's with all of these knee injuries?

I don’t know why the club have gone shy. Seems strange and if it is an MCL then he may need an opp if it doesn’t get better. That wood put him out of the World Cup.

Here’s the PL injury league table
    TOP 10SORT BY
    # TEAM TOTAL INJURIES LATEST PLAYER INJURED INJURY
1 Crystal Palace 9 W Zaha Knee Injury
    2 Watford 8 C Kabasele Hamstring Injury
    3 Burnley 8 P Bardsley Knee Injury
4 Manchester City 7 J Stones Knee Injury

With 8 injured and 5 first team players we are really Burnley Reserves. Maybe Sean should only name 5 substitutes in protest at Pep getting the headlines when we are worse off than them

Regarding knees, I have no idea - is it the training that’s making them vulnerable or the style of play?

I have read a bit about these type of injuries which are primarily caused by impact, swift turns (that rules Wood and Bardsley out!) and inappropriate boots!

Wood and Bardsley were impact though. I’m still a bit worried Kompany hasn’t done some similar lasting damage to Sam and Ashley’s knees.

It is a good point though, we seem to have had a whole raft of them over the last few seasons, so many that this same question was being asked a couple of years ago, yet still they keep coming. I can't believe there's anything we do differently to other clubs that could contribute to these knee injuries, so it must be a run of bad luck, or simply statistical co-incidence.......mustn't it ?

    Or are players being targeted.
I see Ashley is on the most fouled PL players list with 45 yet has played less game time of most above him.
Kompany was certainly on a mission. Defour had some seriously bad fouls too.

I thought it was amusing OC, Pep had made a song and dance leading up to the game about the brutal treatment his players are receiving, but Kompany laid three of our lads out inside the first ten minutes. They only see what they want to see don't they.

Pep certainly does and you can add Jose, Arsene and Klopp to him. Chip on shoulder seems to describe them as they know there’s only one winner and their neck is in the noose if they don’t deliver a trophy.
