I really don't know how you still go on about our(Cardiff) physical game. It's a contact sport and maybe we play right on the edge, we certainly didn't have the squillions of pounds to spend in the summer or January, so Warnock has got an average bunch of players performing as a team. I just had a look at the fair play table for the Championship, and see that we are in joint 3rd place for having the least amount of cards. For the record, Cardiff have 53 yellows and 1 red, and Wolves have 54 yellows and 2 reds. We are playing it hard, but pretty fair. Honestly, if your players have the same fear as you, then they are beaten before they turn up at our place. Got to man up.
Jerker, you obviously didn't see the match at Molineux; battered and bruised wasn't in it!
Warnock lives up to his reputation (he's a thug) and his team's play accordingly. The "tackle" made on the Man City player was trully worthy of a criminal prosecution.
I, for one, will be placing bets on the No of cards shown when we play you.
I find myself agreeing with everything you say, and FYI our foreign players have and are starting to adapt as you suggest.
There is however a line that should not be crossed, and Manager's have to take some responsibility... Alex Neill being quoted as coaching his players to be "aggressive" and then "really aggressive" against us concerns me... Colin, as a coach from the neolithic era, has a tendency to instill similar qualities in his sides... I agree our players are going to have to man up as it's going to happen whether we like it or not.
I think your players have learnt quickly about the British game which is why you are walking this league. But I never expected Wolves fans to bitch for so long about the alleged "treatment" dished out to their team. Always had you down to take anything thrown at you on the chin.
In fairness most of us aren’t... we accept that we are going to be on the receiving end because that’s the only way most sides in this division can beat us at the moment.
Games need strong referees and a lot of the time incidents are let go. Wolves teams of the past have often been slated for an over physical element. The art of winning the ball with a strong, but fair challenge is slowly dying due to ref's blowing up for a player being caught by the trailing leg or follow through. Cardiff and Preston play to their strengths. Cardiff are where they are on merit in the table and i'm looking forward to the fixture.
