The Most interesting run in for many years...read on

I know we are all a bit glum tonight and the feeling of doom, but we are where we are but to try to cheer you (and me) up I have compiled a league table, which show a host of clubs on our shoulders.
However then look at the remaining games each time has and it makes for intriguing reading. Of course there are no gimmes but let’s be pessimistic and say we win 2 and lose another 4. That would put us on 72. Then look at other teams remaining fixtures & predict what will happen.

Of course it could all go pear shaped & not good for the nerves I know but we are still in there with a shout. Looks a bit gloomy tonight but get behind the lads and be the twelfth man. You could say we should have sealed our play off spot now but we are a work in progress, and when it is all over, we can say that, following a disastrous 2016/17 we have made significant progress, which still, even now, end in glory.

    TABLE:

    1. Blackburn played 39 - points 82 - GD + 38
    2.Shrewsbury played 40 - points 81 GD + 22
    3. Wigan played 38 points 80 - GD + 47
    4. Rotherham played 40- points 66- GD + 16
    5. Peterboro played 40 points 61 - GD + 14

    7. Portsmouth played 40 points 61 - GD + 4
    8. S****horpe played 40- points 60- GD + 9
    9. Plymouth played 39 - points 60 GD + 4
    10.Bristol R. played 40 - points 54 - GD -4

    Plenty of twists yet.
Win 3 more and we’re in play offs I think.

I suggest that to have any chance of achieving that, we play a standard 4-4-2 formation, with players in their normal positions... ie NOT like today

    Interesting stuff Nardendee.
I've ignored Blackburn, Wigan and Shrewsbury as they're either promoted or in a play off position.
None of the others has a particularly easy run in but I think it's essential we win our 3 home games. We should be ok if we do.
Peterborough have some tough away games don't they? 😊

Fleetwood will be a tough one. 3 wins 2draws from the last 5 games. Would be thrilled with 3 points though 1 would do..
Great time to play Wigan. If we can get a point if we can scrape 1 point I would be happy.. tbh I can see us getting 7/8 points from the last 6 games. Should be enough esp as we have a good goal difference

If Peterborough get into the playoffs with that run in you have to say they are fav to go up..

Looking at those run in's you'd have to be really pessimistic not to fancy us, especially with the points cushion. Peterborough have a terrible run in and many teams are playing each other so they can't all win. I'm going Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Plymouth, Charlton in that order.

Just noticed I made an error with the Wigan away games. They have four left but I only referenced two. The other two away games for them are Bristol Rovers and Doncaster

    Last 6 games I would guess we'll win 1, draw 2 and lose 3.

Defence is shaky, no-one's scoring and it looks like Warne's "matey" approach is no longer working.

    But we'll see.
