    Not for sale says Garlick

Just the message we want to hear. Outside investment maybe if the people are right, but no sale as the directors want to keep the club local.

Where were the outside investors when we needed them ? If any come along now I'd be asking something along the lines of the Mrs Merton to Debbie McGee question, "What first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels ?"

I get it Sinkov that but a lot depends on how far we want to go in this league and if we stay in it running a tight ship and good business ethic.
We might regret the day we said that, the directors won’t because while times are good ( now ) it’s easy a healthy balance a dividend at year end etc etc.
I’m with most I think in that I’d like us to stay within our means and have local people involved, however money talks in this league and it just doesn’t stand still, the minute you do as a club, your gone ! back to the championship.
The outside investment might just make us jump to the next bracket in terms of attracting players and wages and also pushing on to a European run or a shot at a trophy.
It’s a gamble I know but I wouldn’t have been too quick to shun it just yet.
To carry on doing what we are doing - keep the manager, improve the squad, will take considerable investment in line with what I said above ie, the others won’t stand still they will invest in better players to survive and stay in the honey pot.

Let’s see if the board back Dyche to do the same when it’s needed - I think we will lose players close season as plenty will be coming to rob us of our talented squad ( I know that generates money but they still need replacing with equally as good or better players.)

Its a non story for me, and it was a couple of years ago when Garlick rolled it out then.

He wants to keep BFC being run by Clarets supporters ?

Garlick is a Millionaire by his own right but still a very small fish in Premier League terms, which other Claret supporting fan is out there who could even match Garlick's wealth ? Eric Knowles ? John Ketly ? or a businessman who is worth Billions who is elusive like the scarlet pimpernel ? I don't think so.

Eventually someone will come calling with a deal far too good in £ notes to make our "Claret Fan" Chairman Garlick step aside, until then I'm not swallowing Galicks self praise.

There are no investors out there who are going to invest enough money into the club to make us financially competive with the top 6, so no matter who buys into the club the best we can hope for is 7th, which is where we are now without the investment, so why bother.

Sean Dyche is far more important to the club than any outside investment, just keep Sean happy, that's all we need to do, feck the asset-strippers and ego-trippers, we're managing fine without them.

I would be happy to invest a few million if Garlick gets in touch with me.. I'd want a private box though for all the lads who post on here..

That's nice of you alf, although those private box's are devoid of atmosphere for me.

Welcome home (if you are home) hope you had a good trip
