Message From A Sheff Wed Fan

Just finished a conversation with a Sheff Wed fan who's been trolling round various forums and cannot believe the negativity around Derby, admittedly notwithstanding the Sunderland debacle which even he said looked an embarrassment. He pointed out that we've been in the top six for all but one weekend for six months, something I'd lost track of amidst all the recent trauma. One thing he said, 'You don't know how lucky you are'....

    Just sayin'

Actually, looking at the Championship overall, the quality leaves a lot of be desired!! I've watched a number of games recently and most have been very poor. The Sheffield U v Cardiff has been the best of a poor bunch!! Maybe that's why, despite being generally average at best all season, we are somehow still 5th!!

Only Wolves and Fulham are anything like equipped enough to give a decent account of themselves in the PL. The rest of the sides would struggle to make a squad capable between them.

I've been saying this for ages. Can't believe you lot. Moaning and worrying. Pointing out to history of recent failures.
Hey dumb dumbs (sorry for being crude, actually I could use even worse words)! Yes dumb dumbs, this our job or the job of your rivals. Beating the drum of recent failures and whatever negativity.
It's your job to point out you're still rocking and despite everything, still are well placed for the play-offs and beyond.

It's our job to taunt you, it's your job to dismiss it and point our position.
Unless you really prefer to be in 16th place.

The Wednesday fans must be gutted, pre season they were one of the favourites for promotion.

Pre season, we were hoping for an outside chance of the play offs.

That's Championship footy for you. Who excepting Wolves fans would predict them for autos?

No we’re not. We’re in fifth position because of our run of results between autumn and mid January. Since then our form has been that of relegation material. We could turn it round but it’s the fourth year running we’ve seen such a collapse...hence the disgruntlement and in the unofficial ‘form table’ for February and March we’re probably (haven’t checked) about nineteenth.
To the Wednesday fan...we’re pissed off ‘cos we never learn that you win nothing by playing for half a season and...we’re probably getting Butterfield back.

I disagree with you, we have not been out of the top 6 for a very long time, Wolves and Aston Villa have had a lot of bad results too does that make them relegation candidates? It's ok to be bitter because the results aren't going your way but you have to take the highs with the lows. Just hope now we can pull a few results together.
