    Turning Point Of The Season

Mine is dead simple, albeit possibly controversial. The departure of Johnny Russell. every team has a talisman, and despite his limitations I think we lost ours when he headed West.

    anyone?

It fits Andy, as do the January transfer dealings, but I suspect it’s coincidence.
Most, including me, respected JR’s work ethic but not much more.
If I was to choose one single moment when our fortunes changed it would be the nailed on ‘penalty’ against Bristol City which only resulted in Jerome being booked.
That would have done so much for Jerome’s confidence, his assimilation into the team and the confidence of the squad as a whole.
    Wasn’t given...didn’t happen...time to move on.

I recall a similar incident in years gone by, Chris Martin went over at Burnley for what all but one in attendance knew to be a penalty - the one was the ref, who decided it was a dive and sent Martin off. From there our season slipped away

    Deja vu

A bit of both IMO along with Anya's disallowed goal at 'Wall.

Yep, all crucial disallowed goals make a difference...but I think I’m right in saying the Bristol game was Jerome’s debut.
What a difference making such an immediate impact would have made we shall never know...also, hard to believe as things have turned out, Bristol City were the form side at the time pushing us for second place.
It would have been such an all round confidence boost and was the single worst decision I’ve seen all season.
