    RIP Ray Wilson

    Passed away aged 83 , 1966 world cup winner , played every game I believe .

    R I P Ray Wilson , World Cup Winner , never seemed to get the Acknowledgement he deserved , thanks for the memories , God Bless

    As a young lad, I worked in a department store in Huddersfield.
    I was often sent out with the Curtain/Blind fitter as “his mate”
    We fitted curtains in a house, and on getting back in the van afterward my “gaffer”who was ony few years older than me and was was a H*dders*ield fan turned to me and said “You do know who that was don’t you?”
    I was 16. Knew nowt
    I said, yes, Mr Wilson...
    to which he replied “ You should have asked him to show you his World Cup Winners Medal, he won one....for ENGLAND

    Died a world cup winner. Rest in peace Ray.

    That said its hardly the swaithe wmc bowling club championship is it.
