    RIP Ellie Soutter

I didn't know her but I did know of her. An up and coming Snowboarder who won a bronze medal at the 2017 Youth Olympic Winter Festival. She had just been chosen to be in this winter's senior squad.

She died on Wednesday. No information on the cause of her death has been made public as yet. It was her 18th birthday............

..... it seems the good die young.

The news has now come in that Ellie committed suicide, how tragic.
Her father, family and friends must be devastated.

Begs the question, do we really know our loved ones and friends?

Here you have someone, apparently in a loving, caring environment, living in the bosom of the National Winter Sport Squad. The squad will have sports psychologists. Did nobody around her, professional or not, notice any signs?

Yes just shows how little we really know about our loved ones and friends Its a wonder considering the environment she lived in that someone didn't see the signs It always amazes me that people who think have everything to live for take their lives The brain is a very complex organ
